 Pathways to Discipleship

The creeds, confessions and catechisms in the PCUSA Book of Confessions each emerged in a particular time and place in response to a particular situation. The confessions do not simply express what the church was, what it used to believe, and what it once resolved to do. They address the church’s current faith and life, declaring contemporary convictions and actions. This four-week series traces the origins of several of the Presbyterian church’s creeds and confessions and explores how what we confess has evolved over time.
